Workout Wednesday - Jan 20th, 2016

It's my first Workout Wednesday! and I've had to back date it, I know. (Not a great start, huh?) but that's because I had a doctor's appointment yesterda, and I wanted to include that

Current goals: 

  • Squat a plate by my birthday (mid September) (current PR: 95lbs ~43kg)
  • get weight back to pre-holiday weight

Things I did:

  • Went to the doctors, found out my IT band is too tight and possibly enlarged, and also I'm having tendon problems in both my big toes (I think I have turf toe, you guys. I makes me sound so athletic!)
  • Started my rehab exercises. I just do these at home to sort out that IT band. 
  • Romanian deadlifts for the first time in quite a while
  • Tried low bar squatting -  I have a tendency to use low bar form with a high squat position, but I've been nervous about being able to keep the bar in place for real low bar squats. 

Things I hope to work on this week:

  • Do my rehab exercises - I've been banned from squatting and deadlifting
  • Do 3x5 OHP of the bar without having to resort to push pressing.
