Workout Wednesday - Jan 27th, 2016

Between Blizzard Jonas and my left IT band, I didn't accomplish nearly as much as I hoped this past week.

Current goals: 

  • Squat a plate by my birthday (mid September) (current PR: 95lbs ~43kg)
  • get weight back to pre-holiday weight

    Things I did:

    • A series of physical therapy exercises. I'm not a fan of these, there are a few that I have to hold for ten seconds and do 20 times per leg, so I spend a lot of time counting, losing track, and getting generally frustrated.
    • Take lots of Ibuprofen
    • No squatting :( 

    Things I hope to work on this week:

    • I get to squat and deadlift starting Monday. I think from now on I'll do heavy squatting and romanian deadlifts one day a week, and lighter squatting (like low bar) and classic deadlifts another.
    • Running again. I think out of all the cardio options I have, running is the most practical (I don't own a bicycle and forgot how to ride one anyone).
