Workout Wednesday, June 15th, 2016

Current goals: 

+ Squat a plate by my birthday (mid September) (current PR: 125lbs ~56.7kg)
+ Run/walk a mile in under 10 minutes (current PR: 10 mins 52 seconds)
+ Long Term Goal: Run 5k in under half an hour

    Things I did:

    + I squatted my body weight!!! next up: my first plate!
    Hmmm... looks like I'm lifting off my heels?
    I managed to do this without relying on my stretch reflex (bouncing off my calves) which is why my depth isn't quite ATG. My husband thinks if I get a hang of "pulling" the bar into my traps I'll be able to do more weight, but whenever I try it I just end up pulling myself back down?
    + I walked out 135lbs, just to see what it would be like. HEAVY!
    + Also front squatted 2 at 95lbs and 1 at 100lbs! I have a love/hate relationship with front squats.
    + I've started switching out OHP for incline bench press.
    + Tried out my new-to-me converse all stars (they have a flat sole, no raised heel) for squatting. I think I like them, but they're a bit too big for me.
    + Got 4 reps at my highest bench press weight, up from 2.
    + There was a dog at the gym Tuesday:

    Things I hope to work on this week:

    + Well, I'll be spending Friday through Monday at my MIL's, where there is no gym but there may be yard work, gardening and cleaning.
    + I'm going to wait a week or two before trying another PR. Or I might get impatient and try before that, but I don't know if it's a realistic option.
    + Keep going on 5-3-1
    + Try to work on my back arch for bench press.
